About Dionysius Vaz, S.J.

Rev. Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ was appointed as the new Provincial of the Karnataka Jesuit Province, which is the Mother Province of the Kohima Region on Tuesday, August 25 by Rev Fr General. Born on 27 August 1963, Fr Dion acquired two masters degrees, in Sociology and Pastoral counselling. He joined the Society on June 20, 1981 and made his solemn profession on June 06, 2004. The Society gave him different missions as the Director of the Pre-novitiate and Vocation Promoter, Parish Priest, Province Consultor, Novice Director, Superior of Bijapur Mission, Rector of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, all of which he served with great devotion and dedication.
